James A. Sullivan, “Jim,” age 72, of Stoneham, formerly of Wakefield, passed away on March 2, 2025 at the Lahey Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Jim was born in Medford, MA on May 6, 1952. He was the son of the late James and Theresa Sullivan. Jim was raised and educated in Medford and graduated from Saint Clements High School in 1970. Following graduation, he attended Suffolk University.
In 1976, he married the love of his life, Pam. They made their home in Wakefield, where they raised their three wonderful children.
Jim was known for his kind heart, friendly disposition, sense of humor, and willingness to help others. He loved to read, watch sports, work out at the gym, and spend time at the beach in Gloucester with his wife, Pam.
Jim loved his family and always looked forward to spending time with his children and grandchildren. Whether it was during the holidays, celebrating a birthday, taking vacations in Maine or just getting together for a summer barbeque, Jim always cherished family time.
Jim loved nothing more than being a grandfather, known affectionately as ‘Pops.” His grandkids were his world and the joy that they brought him was immeasurable. His grandkids always looked forward to a day with “Pops”, whether it was playing in the yard, throwing the football or baseball around, watching their favorite show on the couch, sharing funny stories, or making TikTok videos. One of Jim’s biggest joys was attending his grandkids sporting events. Watching his grandkids do what they love always made him so proud.
Jim was the beloved husband of Pamela (Zarella) Sullivan, devoted father of Matthew Sullivan of Coppell, TX; Kerri Lombardo of Londonderry, NH, and Mark Sullivan and his wife Meg of Hanover, MA. Loving “Pops” of his seven grandchildren: Caylee, Nate, Taylor, Sean, Liam, Tiberias, and Declan and his granddog, Bandit. Jim is pre-deceased by his sister, Lori and brother, Edward.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Saturday March 8 2025 from 10 am to 12 pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating Jim's Eternal Life at 12.
