James L. Doucette of Stoneham, formerly of Reading passed away at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington on November 25, 2005. He was 85 years of age.





Born in Reading, James was the cherished son of the late Frank "Bucky" Doucette and Ruth (Bisbee) Doucette. James was a warm and adoring son, brother, husband and friend. He will be missed by all.





James graduated from Reading High School in 1938. He had a love for the game of baseball and proudly played for the Reading High School Rockets. James was a dedicated Railroad Engineer for B&M Railroad for many years. During World War II, James proudly served our country as a Corporal in the United States Army Air Corps.





James was the beloved husband of Mary A. (Fallon) Doucette. He was the dear brother of the late Paul, Frank and Gerald Doucette.





Family and friends are kindly invited to attend one hour of visitation on Monday from 8:30-9:30am in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating James' life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Interment Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
