James W. Eicher

James W. Eicher of Stoneham passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at Lahey Hitchcock Medical Center in Burlington. He was 81 years of age.
Born in California, James was a longtime resident of Stoneham. He was a loving and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all.
James was a member of St. Patrick's Charismatic Prayer Community in Stoneham. He was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Patrick's Parish and a member of the Parish Council. James was active in Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus #489 in Stoneham and #104 in Wakefield. James was involved in the Boy Scouts of America, he was a 55 year member of the Local Union # 103, I.B.E.W. and during World War II, James proudly served our country in the United States Coast Guard.
James was the beloved husband for 60 years to Marie (Rose) Eicher. He was the devoted father of James T. Eicher and his wife Deborah of Wisconsin, Donna M. Pratt of Haverhill, Charles N. Eicher and his wife Janet of Byfield, Judith V. Hogan and her husband Kevin of Truro, John W. Eicher and his late wife Nancy of Stoneham, Thomas J. Eicher and his wife Susan of Billerica, William A. Eicher and his wife Bonnie of Stoneham, Marie L. Brown and her husband Douglas of Billerica, Helen E. Allen and her husband Joshua of Wakefield. James was the cherished grandfather of 23 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was the brother of Clarence and his wife Laurie Wood, Charles Wood, Rowlin and his wife Eva Wood, Bettie Matthews, Caroline Monore all of California, the late John A. and Clara Mae Ayala. James was the dear uncle of his special niece Jacqueline Eicher of North Carolina.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 3-7 pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
