James G. Ghirardi, Jr. of Reading passed away on July 4, 2013. He was 80 years of age.
Born in Boston, James was the loving son of the late James G. and Clorinda (Ralli) Ghirardi.
He was a warm and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
James proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Army during the Korean War.
James was the beloved husband of Grace A. (Mahoney) Ghirardi. He was the devoted father of John Ghirardi and his wife Marcy and the late James Ghirardi and Robert Ghirardi. Father-in-law of Karen Ghirardi and Megan Ghirardi. James was the cherished grandfather of Craig, Glenn, Daniel, Declan, Christine and Anabel.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service celebrating James' Life on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11 am in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
