James S. Sarno of Stoneham, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. The beloved son of the late Jack Sarno and Evelyn Cacchiotti is at peace after a short battle with Covid. Jim leaves behind his wife of 50 years Paula (Baldini) Sarno, his children Allison Sarno and her husband Christian Floerkemeier, James Sarno and his wife Lindsey O'keefe Sarno and Crystal Sarno Howard and her husband Courtland along with his grandchildren Sophie, Lucie, Thomas and Harrison.
Jim grew up in Winchester, Massachusetts. He was a graduate of Winchester High School and received a BS in Business Administration from Belknap College. Jim worked for over 30 years as sales manager for the Testors Corporation before starting his own sales rep organization, Jim Sarno Associates.
Known as "Jackie" to close family, he was a devoted father and grandfather never missing an ice hockey game or figure skating competition over the years. More recently he was extremely proud of his grandchildren and reveled in seeing them learn to ice skate and ski. Jim was a classic car buff who enjoyed cruising in the 68 Mustang that was originally purchased by his father over 60 years ago as well as his more recent acquisition, a 65 Mustang convertible. He also loved dabbling in antiques and collectables.
Jim's ever-expanding man cave contained an eclectic display of antiques, paintings, his children's artwork, chachkies and family heirlooms. Over the last decade, Jim faced several medical issues but always managed to overcome each obstacle that confronted him. He continued to run a small business and enjoyed listening to country music while cruising in his convertible mustang, meeting up with his classic car friends and entertaining at his home. He will be sorely missed and leaves everlasting memories of his warm personality and love of life to all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be private.
