JAMES F. McTAGGART

James F. McTaggart of Stoneham, passed away on Wednesday February 20, 2002 at the Winchester Hospital. He was 76 years of age.

Born in Jamaica Plain, Mr. McTaggart was a resident of Stoneham for 45 years.

James loved the ocean, ships and traveling to Maine. A Navy Veteran, James fought 15 battles during World War II and retired happily from M.I.T. as a preventive maintenance engineer. James was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. His family was first and foremost in his life.

Mr. McTaggart was the beloved husband of the late June M. (Shea) McTaggart, former Stoneham Select women during the early 1970's. He was the devoted father of James T. McTaggart and his wife Carole of Reading, June Milligan and her husband Kevin of Stoneham, Thomas McTaggart and his wife Catherine of York, ME. Cherished grandfather of 7 grand children and 1 great grandchild. He was the brother of Thomas McTaggart of Texas, Ethel Doherty of Delaware, and Isobel Matson of Springfield.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham on Saturday February 23rd at 10 a.m. Internment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery Stoneham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited t attend calling hours Friday 4-7 p.m. at the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. Stoneham.

Donations in memory may be made to Stoneham Fireman's Safety Equipment Fund Care of Stoneham Fire Dept. 25 Central St. Stoneham, MA. 02180.
