James A. Shuttleworth of Peabody, formerly of Stoneham passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, just six days shy of his 97th birthday.
Born on June 30, 1923 in Springfield, Vermont, James is the loving son of the late Bland Shuttleworth and Nora (Gardner) Shuttleworth. James is a warm and caring son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
James was a dedicated sales engineer for Cambridge Wire Cloth Company for many years. He was a loyal and devoted family man who always put his family before everything. During World War II, James proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Army.
James is the beloved husband of the late Dorothy E. (Jelley) Shuttleworth. He is the devoted father of Joan S. Grady and her husband Jack, Ann S. Whittaker and her husband Doug and Caryl S. Haley and her husband Tom. The cherished grandfather of John Marshall, Jennifer Marshall – Adams, James Marshall, Jacqueline Grady Smith and Joshua Haley, James is the loving great grandfather of 8 and the loving uncle of Richard G. Worthen and Donna M. Kafel. He is also survived by his very dear friend Sara Ann Gephart.
