James D. Thebideau

September 23, 1918 — February 21, 2005

James D. Thebideau of Reading passed away on Monday, February 21, 2005 at the Winchester Hospital He was 86 years of age.





Born in Boston, Jim was the son of the late Charles and Ellen (Shea) Thebideau. He was a resident of Reading since 1949 and was a resident of the Peter Sanborn House for the past 2 years. Jim was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by all.





Jim was a security guard for the General Tire Corporation for many years Jim proudly served our country in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific.





Jim and his family were one of the original families to join St. Athanasius Parish in Reading. He enjoyed his friends and socializing at the Senior Center.





He was the husband of the late Helen (Enos) Thebideau. He was the loving father of Karen Guardino and her husband James of Brandenton, Florida, formerly of Reading and Mary Abramovitch and her husband Bob of Wilmington. Jim was the cherished grandfather of Erik Crago of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the late Jason Crago of Methuen, several great-grandchildren and the brother of the late Pauline Keane of Malden and Margaret Kulak of Florida.





Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm. in the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. A Funeral Mass celebrating Jim's life will be celebrated Thursday February 24th at 10 am in St Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. READING. Interment Charles Lawn Cemetery, Reading.
