James L. Zunino

July 29, 1928 — December 18, 2005

James L. Zunino Sr. of Stoneham, formerly of Medford passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Melrose Wakefield Hospital. He was 77 years of age.





Born Medford, James was the adoring son of the late Joseph Zunino and Gertrude (May) Zunino. James was a warm and loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all.





James was a dedicated self employed Electronic Technician for many years. He loved cooking and traveling. He especially loved his family, especially all the children. His love for them went unparalleled. During World War II, James proudly served our country in the United States Army.





James was the beloved husband of Gloria L. (Mosher) Zunino. He was the devoted father of James L. Zunino Jr. and his wife Elaine of Tewksbury, Robert E. Zunino of Stoneham, Ann Marie Landers and her husband John of New Hampshire, Linda R. Waite and her husband James of Malden, Rita C. Lorrance and her husband Carl of Winthrop, Donna Chaplin and her late husband Julian of Stoneham, Theresa Landers and her husband Daniel of Stoneham. James was the cherished grandfather of 20, the great grandfather of 7 and the dear brother of F. Helen Rotondi and Stoneham and the late Joseph Zunino Jr. of Everett.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating James' life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Wednesday 3-7pm. Parking attendants will be on duty.
