Jane E. Denehy

Jane E. (Toomey) Denehy of Stoneham passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Winchester Hospital. She was 83 years of age.
Born in Boston, Jane was the daughter of the late Edward F. Toomey and Lela M. (MacCuish) Toomey. Jane was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Jane was raised in Charlestown, graduating from Charlestown High School in the class of 1944. She then worked for Boston Gas Company before getting married in 1950. Jane and her husband Joseph moved to Stoneham in 1956 to raise their three children.
Jane worked for the IRS and also in the accounting department at Addison Wesley in Reading. She was an avid Red Sox fan who loved spending time at her home in Dennisport for 30 years. Jane made a lot of longtime friends and enjoyed spending time with them over the years.
Jane adored her grandchildren. She loved her family. Her warm and gentle smile reflected the relationships she had made through the years.
Jane was the beloved wife for 60 years of Joseph F. Denehy. She was the devoted mother of Joseph F. Denehy Jr. and his wife Kathi of Tewksbury, Janice M. Denehy of Stoneham, Jeanne E. Rodrigues of Woburn. Jane was the cherished grandmother of Joseph R. Denehy, Jessica J. Rodrigues and Joshua J. Rodrigues. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Jane's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Wednesday from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
