Janice T. (Pesce) DeSimone, beloved wife of Stephen R. DeSimone, passed away on Sunday, January 30th, 2022, with her family at her side.  Born in Winthrop, she is the daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Donovan) Pesce.

Janice grew up in Revere and was a graduate of St. Rose High School in Chelsea.  She married the love of her life Steve in 1975 and they raised their family in Revere.  Janice worked as a nursery school teacher and then for many years in human resources at Filenes in Saugus until her retirement.  Janice enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and friends.  She also spent time with needle point and crocheting.  She had a many friends and an exciting social life.  Janice's greatest joy came from her family, she loved to be with her grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed by her many friends and loving family.

Janice is the devoted mother of Lauren Mastrocola and her husband Anthony of Peabody and Richard P. DeSimone of Natick.  Cherished grandmother of Anthony Mastrocola, Jr. and Elizabeth Mastrocola.  Loving sister of Anthony Pesce, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Lynnfield and Richard Pesce and his wife Sheryl of Groveland.  Sister-in-law of Louis DeSimone and his wife Jo-Ann of Woburn and she also leaves nieces, nephews, and many friends and extended family.

Family and friends are cordially invited to visiting hours at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading (Corner of Rt. 28 and Park St. at the Reading Line) on Friday, February 4th, 2022 from 10am to 12pm.  Immediately following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12pm.
