Jean M. (Nephew) Belmont

Jean Marie Belmont, age 85, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2021. She was born on June 14, 1935 in Boston to Louis and Georgiana Nephew. Beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Belmont.

Jean was the loving and devoted mother of Jean Langston, Anthony Belmont and his wife Ellen, Matthew Belmont and his partner Steve, Michelle Sharp, Mary Soller and her husband Eric and Amy P. LaCasse and her husband Steven. Loving grandmother of Elizabeth and Joseph Langston, Joel and Sarah Sharp, Jacob and Michelle LaCasse. Dear sister of Geraldine Cummins and Henry Nephew. Predeceased by Louis Nephew, Pauline Madden, Barbara Burke and Gerald Nephew.

Jean worked for many years at St. Patrick Church in the rectory and the Convent. For many years Jean was the crossing guard of Stoneham Square which she enjoyed helping the kids everyday. Jean loved doing her crafts, swimming, reading and visiting Maine for rum drinks and lobsters. Most of all she was devoted to her family.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Saturday March 27, 2021 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Jean's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Due to state regulations for Covid-19, a mask is required while in the funeral home and not more than 50% capacity in the funeral home at one time.

Interment will be St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
