Jean F. (Fama) Burke, of Stoneham, passed away on Monday January 31, 2022 with her family by her side. She was 91 years of age.
Jean, a lifelong resident of Stoneham, was the daughter of the late Leo and Jean (Malta) Fama.
Jean was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.
Jean worked as a bookkeeper most of her life. Her last job before retirement was with MacDonald and Lavers in North Andover. Jean loved spending time with her family and friends, especially at Hampton Beach. She also loved to travel and play cards with her family.
Jean was the beloved and cherished wife of Francis Burke. She was the devoted mother of Sharon Balboni and her husband Ed, Paul Burke and his wife Ellyn and Sandy Dalbeck and her husband Brad. Loving grandmother of Kristen Burns and her husband P.J., Lisa Hould and her husband Greg, Katherine Krates and her husband Nick, John Burke, Lindsay Liberti and her husband Eric, Heather Dettore and her husband Nick and Dylan Dalbeck. Great grandmother of Ryan, Brady, Lyla, Jacob, and Hope Burns, Logan, Noelle, Noah, Caleb, and Elijah Hould, Carter and Kaylee Krates, Joshua and Hannah Liberti, and Tyler Dettore. Dear sister of the late Maurice Fama, Elizabeth Savelo, Tena Cody, Mary Barbo, Dorothy Sweeney, and Eleanor Fama. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
