Jean C. (Day) Dentremont, of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 27, 2021 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House. She was 87 years of age.
Born in Woburn, Jean was the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Hooper) Day. Jean was a graduate of Woburn High School and a member of St. Joseph Church in Woburn and eventually St. Patrick Church in Stoneham.
Jean was very active volunteering her time at the Woburn Senior Center and St. Patrick Church where she prayed the rosary. In her spare time, Jean loved gambling and going to Foxwoods and singing her heart out at any occasion.
Most importantly, family was the center of her life. She loved spending time with her brothers. Jean loved family celebrations. She never missed a birthday, Baptism, Confirmation, recital or sporting event. She was always there to love and support her nieces and nephews.
Jean was the beloved wife of the late John E. Dentremont. She is the loving sister of John Day, Joseph Day and his wife Mary, James Day and his wife Elizabeth and the late Frances Sheridan, her twin sister Joan Gilmartin, Catherine Bondi and Mary Murphy. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories of her in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM on Wednesday March 31, 2021 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Jean's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery Stoneham. Parking attendants and elevator will be available. Due to state regulations for Covid-19, a mask is required while in the funeral home as well as social distancing at all times.
