Jean M. (MacDonald) DiPerna

Jean Mary (MacDonald) DiPerna the beloved wife of John DiPerna for over 70 years passed away Easter Sunday April 12, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Jean was the daughter of Grant and Vera MacDonald of Jamaica Plain and daughter in-law of the late Anthony and Josephine DiPerna of Somerville.
Jean was the sister of Lorraine Connell and Claire Annarelli and her brothers Grant and Jack.
In 1946, shortly after the war Jean and John were married and they made their home in Somerville, where they raised their five children.
Jean enjoyed playing bingo and trips to Foxwoods. She loved Sunday mornings where many family members would gather in her kitchen.
Jean is survived by her husband John, her son Albert and his wife Maureen, John and his late wife Janice, Jean and Eric Johanson, Kathy and Steve Kelly and Paula and John Oliver.
Jean is survived by 13 grandchildren Rachel, Erica, Veronica, Kathryn, John, Joanna, John, Jessica, Andrea, John, Nikki, Stephen, and David. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren Stella, Adriana, Giulia, Alexa, Ava, Lily, Luke, Harper, Giovanni, Giada, Layla, Thomas, Vinny, Frankie, Charlie, Casey, and soon to be baby Gerber.
She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, Sunday morning will never be the same.
Due to the social gathering restrictions, a celebration of Jean's life will be held at a later date.
