Jean P. Dolan

At the age of 96, our beloved aunt, Jean P. Dolan, entered God’s Kingdom on November 4, 2025. Born to Bernard and Joan Dolan in Arlington, Massachusetts. The oldest of 5 children, Jean helped her mother manage her siblings after their father passed away at a young age. She graduated from Arlington High School and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She spent her career as an executive secretary and office manager for several Boston engineering and architectural firms.

Jean embodied the Christian spirit. She was kind, thoughtful and generous, but never interested in receiving attention for her good deeds and generosity. She was honored to serve as a Eucharistic Minister in the Catholic Church. She was fun and enjoyed traveling the world. A natural athlete, she often spent her free time swimming and bowling. A life-long learner, she took many adult education classes at UMass Boston. She also volunteered as a docent at the Arlington Historical Society.

Jean loved her family and friends deeply and made sure to spend quality time with them. Always remembering their birthdays. Jean walked by faith, not by sight.

Jean made a difference in this world and will be deeply missed. But she will join her parents, sister Elizabeth Dolan and brothers, James, Bernard and Donald in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members, including Judith Dolan (John Green) (Katie Dixon) Kevin Dolan (Maria) (Connor, Juliana and Christina) and Sean Dolan.

The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Brightview, Arlington for the excellent memory care that they provided for Jean.

A Mass celebrating Jean’s life was held on November 8, 2025 at St. Patrick’s Parish in Stoneham, MA.
