Jean Clair (Kenrick) Nickerson

Jean Clair (Kenrick) Nickerson of Groveland, formerly of Reading passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at her home. She was 68 years of age.

Born on July 22, 1950, in Boston, Jean is the loving daughter of the late Charles A. Kenrick Jr. and Gertrude (Bryan) Kenrick. Jean is a warm and caring daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Jean grew up in Reading and graduated from Reading Memorial High School with the class of 1968. She was a dedicated billing supervisor for Raytheon for 45 years. Jean loved her job and the people she worked with. She was a lover of the Bruins, Alabama Football, elephants and the beach. Jean enjoyed traveling to any beach destination. A truly selfless person, Jean put family first. What she loved most is spending time with her daughter and granddaughters.

Jean is the beloved and devoted mother of Jennifer Bell and her husband Michael. She is the cherished Nana of Nicole Holtsberg – Bell and Samantha Bell. The dear sister of Beryl Wray and her husband Richard and Marjorie Libitz and her husband Michael, Jean is the warm and caring "Nana Jean" to many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Jean's Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, at 11am in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St., READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Tuesday, May 28th, from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
