Jennie (Abate) Szugzda of Reading passed away on Saturday March 15, 2014 at Winchester Hospital. She was 93 years of age.
Born in Boston, Jennie was the loving daughter of the late Amades and Marietta (Ianelli) Abate, both of Italy
Jennie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend. She had a great love for her family and a generous heart. They were first and foremost in her life
Jennie was the beloved wife of the late Francis W. "Frank" Szugzda. She was the devoted mother of Cynthia Szugzda of Reading. Loving sister of Eddie Abate and his wife Lucille of Winthrop and the late Elvino, Alfred, and Carl Abate, Gilda Higdon and Norma McDonald. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 5-7pm in the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING. Parking attendants and handicapped accessibility will be available. Funeral and Interment are private.
