Jeong Sook (Park) Ahn of North Reading passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 80 years of age.
Born in Seoul, Korea, Jeong was the loving daughter of the late Yong Kun Park and Bok Hee, Oh. Jeong was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Jeong was a dedicated homemaker. She was very supportive of her husband's orphanage in Korea. She was responsible for cooking the meals there. Jeong was devoted to her family and grandchildren. She was proud of raising her four children and helping them with their families.
Jeong was the beloved wife of the late Colonel Joong Shik Ahn. She was the devoted mother of Ilmin Ahn and his wife Ok of New Hampshire, Il-Joon Ahn and his wife Jen-Yi of California, Mi-Ja and her husband Sang Soon Han of Texas, Mimi Ahn of North Reading. Jeong was the cherished grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 5. She was the dear sister of Sung Ku Park and his wife Hae Ok Park of Haverhill.
A Funeral Service celebrating Jeong's life will be held on Monday at 10am in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Saturday from 4-7pm in the Funeral Home. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster.
