Jessie R. (Scarpa) Lyons of Tewksbury passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at The Blaire House of Tewksbury. She was 72 years of age.
Born in East Boston, Jessie was the cherished daughter of the late Rosario Scarpa and Catherine (Follo) Scarpa. Jessie was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend who will be sorely missed.
Jessie was a devoted member of the Sons of Italy North Middlesex Mixed Lodge # 2154 and the Red Hat Society. Jessie was active at the Senior Center in Tewksbury. She enjoyed line dancing. Her true passion was for her family. They were first and foremost in her life.
Jessie was the beloved wife of Jack W. Lyons. She was the devoted sister of Louis Scarpa and his wife Donna of New Hampshire, Mary Guida and her husband Carmine of Stoneham. Jessie was the sister in law of the late Clifford and Richard Lyons and the special great aunt of Adriana, Alyssa, Jessica and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday at 8:30am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Jessie's life in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggett's Pond Road ANDOVER at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Tewksbury.
