Joan M. (Hoben) Curto

Joan M. (Hoben) Curto of Reading passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was 82 years of age.

Born on February 21, 1933 in Boston, Joan was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Joan enjoyed being a waitress and loved her family. The 60 years of her marriage to Joseph was one of her greatest accomplishments. Her family meant the world to her.

Joan was the beloved wife for 60 years of Joseph Curto. She was the devoted mother of Denise Selfridge, Thomas Curto and the late Joseph Curto and Anthony Curto. Joan was the cherished grandmother of Tom Selfridge and Mark Selfridge.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Joan's Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday, July 15th at 10am in the Chapel of the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friend are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Tuesday, July 14th from 2-4 & 6-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance are available.
