Joan C. Gadsby of Reading passed away on Tuesday March 9, 2004 at Lighthouse Nursing Home in Revere. She was 71 years of age.
Born in Framingham, Joan was a long time resident of Reading. Joan was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all.
Joan was a dedicated homemaker for many years. Her family was first and foremost in her life.
Joan was the beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Gadsby. She was the devoted mother of Joseph C. Gadsby III of Beverly, Joan Allbee of Melrose, Phillip J. Gadsby of California and Carol Donoghue of Wakefield. Joan was the cherished grandmother of 7 and the dear sister of several brothers and sisters.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty Funeral Home 11 Linden Street READING Friday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in Saint Agnes Church 186 Woburn Street Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Thursday 6-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment will be in Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
Donations in memory of Joan may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 36 Cameron Ave. Cambridge, MA 02140-1102.
