Joan Fallavollita Galuna

Joan (Fallavollita) Galuna, 73, of Stoneham, beloved wife of the late Domenic Galuna, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center. Born in Stoneham, she is the loving daughter of the late Albert and Vera (Maffeo) Fallavollita.

Joan grew up in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School. For many years, Joan operated Rig A Tony's Italian Take Out in Derry, New Hampshire with her daughter Lisa. Joan will be remembered by her love for her family.

Joan is the devoted Mother of Stephen Galuna and his wife Maria and Lisa Galuna – DeSisto. Cherished grandmother of Stephen Galuna, Jr. and his fiancé Anna Maria, Anthony Domenic DeSisto, Robbie Dutton, Derek Dutton, Brendan Dutton, Mikey Dutton and Jack Fortune. Great grandmother of Sophia Maria Galuna. Loving sister of Albert Fallavollita and his wife Rita and Theresa Steele and her late husband Richard. She is the sister-in-law of Stella Sawyer and her husband Buzz, along with aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass Celebrating Joan's Eternal Life will be held at Saint Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Wednesday, June 27th at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
