Joan Marie (MacDonald) Randall

Joan Marie (MacDonald) Randall of Reading passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at her home. She is 71 years of age.

Joan was born on Sunday, May 28, 1950 in Malden, a daughter of the late Raymond MacDonald and Dorris (MacLennan) MacDonald. Joan is a warm, loving, kind and gentle daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed.

Joan lived for her children and her grandchildren and spent her life taking care of others. She loved to laugh and would do anything to put a smile on someone's face even if it meant making fun of herself. Joan was always there for whoever needed her to listen, offer advice, teach a recipe, have cup of coffee or a drink. She would never turn her back on anyone and she never asked for anything in return. Joan was selfless, caring and compassionate. She was Secretary of the Women's Auxiliary Post 62 Reading, Massachusetts and she shared so many good times there with her friends and her family over the years.

Joan is the beloved wife of the late Greg Randall. She is the devoted mother of Denise Bennett, Kerry Noble and her husband Jeff, John Zarrella, Jr., Nichole Zarrella and Michelle Zarrella. The cherished grandmother of Ashley LaPlante, Christopher Brown, Trysten Methot, Zackary Methot, Jaykob Methot, John Paul Zarrella, III, Taylor Noble and Dylan Noble, Joan is the doting great grandmother of Mason Noble. She is the dear sister of Raymond MacDonald, James MacDonald, Judy Houser and Elizabeth MacDonald. Joan is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Joan's Family on Wednesday, February 16th from 4-7pm in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden Street READING. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
