Joan F. (Ward) Ricker of Reading passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Laurelwood at The Pinehills in Plymouth. She was 87 years of age.
Born on May 7, 1932 in West Haverstraw, New York, Joan is the loving daughter of the late William F. Ward and Frances (Campbell) Ward. Joan is a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Joan loved music and dancing. Family was first and foremost in her life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and on Cape Cod.
Joan is the beloved wife of the late Frederick A. Ricker. She is the devoted mother of Mary Jenkins, William Ward Ricker and his wife Lynn, Susan Winkler and the late Joanne Ricker. The cherished grandmother of Michelle Arnold and her husband Anthony, Brian Jenkins and his wife Laura, Michael Jenkins and his wife Florie, Brandon Winkler and his wife Kelly and Jim Ricker and his wife Anna, Joan is the doting great grandmother of Brogen, Chase, McKenna, Claire, Sophia, Carter and Romy Jane. She is the dear sister of Gail Schnopp and the late William Ward.
