Joanne M. (Geraci) Baroutas, of Stoneham, formerly of East Boston, passed away on Tuesday January 20th at age 66.
Joanne loved spending time with her entire family and especially enjoyed vacationing during the summer on the beaches of Cape Cod. Reading a good book was always a favorite hobby and she couldn't wait to catch a good movie or play. Although Joanne had no formal training she had a God given talent to produce terrific drawings and paintings. She especially loved to create portraits for family members and did all of her amazing work by free-hand. She loved to engage family and friends in conversation regardless of the subject matter and somehow always managed to get the upper hand when discussing controversial topics. She was a pleasant and caring person who never had a bad word to say about anyone. Joanne will be sorely missed by everyone she touched during her life.
Joanne was the beloved wife of Robert A. Baroutas. She was the devoted mother of Nicholas and his wife Jenn. Joanne was the dear sister of Grace Palmer, Anthony Geraci and his wife Debra, James Geraci, Christine Konevich Keen, Kevin Konevich and David Keen. She was the loving aunt of Michelle, Christopher, Anthony, Kim, Michael, Wade, Wesley, Tanya and Jessica.
A Funeral Mass Celebrating Joanne's Eternal Life will be held in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. STONEHAM Saturday January 24th 2015 at 9am.
Please honor Joanne by making donations in her memory to Dana - Farber Cancer Institute, The Jimmy Fund P.O. Box 84961, Boston MA 02248.
