John B. Duggan, Jr. "Doogie"

September 19, 1932 — September 24, 2020

John B. Duggan, Jr., "Doogie" ,88, of Stoneham, beloved husband of the late Catherine "Kay" (Healion) Duggan, passed away on Thursday, September 24th, 2020.

Born in New York, New York, he is the son of the late Viola (Molloy) Maguire. John grew up in Brooklyn, New York and Coney Island. He joined the United States Coast Guard at the age of 18 and proudly served his country. John married Kay, his wife of 65 years and raised their children and Stoneham. John was a Stoneham police officer and retired from the Stoneham Police Department. In his retirement years, he became a professional photographer and drove trucks. John enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing, collecting antique model cars and tinkering on machines. He was a devoted family man; known as the vine that held everyone together. He touched many lives and will truly be missed by his loving family and many friends.

John is the loving father of James J. Duggan and his wife Mary Ellen, Patricia A. McDonough and her husband Richard, Kathleen M. Duggan and her fiancé David Gosselin, Carol J. Garbino and her husband Keith, Nancy D. Flood and her husband Robert and Cheryl A. William. Cherished grandfather of Amanda E. Duggan, James J. Duggan, Jr., Robert M. Garbino, Emily M. Duggan, Moise P. William, Jr., Brandon A. Garbino, Daniel R. Flood, Julia N. Duggan, Meghan N. Flood, Victoria R. William, Nickolas J. William, Tiffany A. Hammer, Joshua Gosselin and Jodi Gosselin. Loving great grandfather of Benjamin, Natalia and Maddison Duggan. He is also the uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Services for John will be held privately.
