John J. Hanafin

HANAFIN, John J. "Boy" of Wilmington, November 30, 2010 at age 70. Beloved husband of Diane Mary (Deluise) Hanafin. Devoted father of Susan McIntyre and her husband Bill of Reading, Sharon Tower and her husband Tom of Tewksbury, Jay Hanafin and his wife Deserie of IL, Stephen Hanafin and his wife Jean of Leominster, Jacklyn Leon and her husband Frank of Tewksbury. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Vinny, Erin, Joseph, Jonathan, Lauryn and Leah. Great grandfather of Kaylee and Taylor. Dear brother of Richard Hanafin and his wife Noreen, Lorraine Dynan and her late husband Bob, Marie O'Connell and her husband Harold. Son of the late John and Mary (Coveney) Hanafin. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. United States Marine Corps Veteran. Retired Cambridge Police Officer. Funeral from the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Saturday at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating John's life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 11am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday from 6-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available.
