HUGHES, John F. "Jack" of Reading, June 2, 2010 at age 84. Beloved husband of Shirley (Blacker) Hughes. Dear stepfather of Donna Heslin and her husband John of Boylston, Robert Blacker and his wife Esther of Scituate, Deborah King of Wakefield, Susan Ford and her husband Dan of Reading, John Blacker and his wife Yvonne of Lynnfield, Patricia Mitchell and her husband Steven of Natick, Diane Komodromos and her husband Costas of Hopkinton, Paul Blacker and his wife Lauren of San Diego. Also survived by 29 loving grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews with special thanks to Robert Largenton of Arlington. US Navy Veteran, WW II. Retired as captain of Arlington Fire Dept. after 24 years. Funeral from the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Saturday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Jack's life in St. Agnes Church,186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Charles Lawn Memorial Park, Reading.
