John Anthony Iovanni of Stoneham formerly of Medford passed away on Monday April 23, 2007 at his home. He was 84 years old.
Born in Boston, John was the son of the late Massimino and Lousia (Guarino) Iovanni. John loved his family. He loved to sing and play the drums. He also had a passion for sports. He was the manger of softball in Medford and Malden. He enjoyed his yard and was a "lovable neighbor". Family and friends that knew him would say he was just a Good Guy.
John was the beloved husband of Vera (Burri) Iovanni. He was the devoted father of John A. Iovanni Jr. and his wife Patricia of Tewksbury, Thomas G. Iovanni and his wife Sharon of Stoneham and Barry F. Iovanni and his wife Jaye Rasmussen of NH. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews Nancy Iovanni of Medford. Cherished son of the late Massimino and Lousia (Guarino) Iovanni. Dear brother of Anita Iovanni and Felix Iovanni and his wife Nancy all of Somerville.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating John's Life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours on Thursday from 3-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
