John "Jack" Joseph Mulhern Jr.

John "Jack" Joseph Mulhern Jr.

John "Jack "Joseph Mulhern Jr. of Tewksbury, formerly of Wakefield, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 15, 2024.  He was 79 years of age.

Born on Saturday, July 22, 1944, in Charlestown, MA.  Jack is the loving son of the late John J. Mulhern and Anna (Asci) Mulhern.  Jack was a kind and loyal son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

He was raised in Charlestown, where he met and married his wife, Maureen Mulhern.  They moved to Wakefield, where they raised their family.  Jack was a hard worker, someone who could fix anything, and a man that loved his family, especially his grandchildren.  Jack and his wife were inseparable and really showed the true meaning of love, friendship, and loyalty.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

Jack is the beloved husband of Maureen (Hartnett) Mulhern.  He is the devoted father of Jack Mulhern, Mike Mulhern and his wife Susan, Christopher Mulhern, Judi Zito and her husband Joseph.  The cherished grandfather of Joseph Zito, Nicholas Zito, Ty Zito, Alyssa Zito, Max Mulhern, Molly Mulhern, and Christopher Mulhern.  Jack is the dear brother of Barbara Hartigan and the late Mary Patricia Mulhern.  He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM on Wednesday, March 20th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Jack's Eternal Life in Saint Joseph's Church, 173 Albion Street Wakefield at 10am.  Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Jack's Family on Tuesday, March 19th from 4-7pm in the Funeral Home.  Parking attendants and elevator are available.
