John R. Mastroelli

John R. Mastroelli of Stoneham, formerly of Peabody passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Peabody.

Born in Boston, John was a dedicated Mechanical Engineer for Draper Laboratories for several years. He was a proud and loyal Veteran of the Army National Guard. John was a warm and caring father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

John was a devoted member of the Marconi Club in Stoneham, the American Legion and the Redmen Club in Stoneham. He loved going to Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and traveling to Florida.

John was the best friend and longtime companion of Terri Duggan. He was the father of Sandra Cawthron, John Mastroelli and Julie Portillo. John was the grandfather of Brandon and Ryan Cawthron. He was also survived by his cousins, Karen Mastrorillo and Ralph Valentino, as well as many other cousins.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating John's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 4-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped elevator are available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
