John "Jack" W. McKenna of Stoneham passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the Winchester Hospital. He was 78 years of age.
Born in Woburn, he was the son of the late William H. McKenna and Hazel G. (Foley) McKenna. Jack was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all.
Jack was a dedicated custodian at Stoneham High School. He was a devoted little league coach in Woburn for many years. During World War II, Jack proudly defended our freedom while serving in the United States Army.
Jack was the beloved husband of Margaret "Peggy" (DiMartino) McKenna of Stoneham. He was the devoted father of David McKenna and his wife Suzan of Danvers, John LeBlanc and his wife Susan of Derry, New Hampshire, Lisa LeBlanc of Stoneham, Kathy Hennessey and her husband Keith of Stoneham. Jack was the cherished grandfather of John, Jacque, Luke, Andrew, Amanda, Kayla and Nicole.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating John's life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
