John R. L. Milano
John R.L. Milano formally of Wilmington and Burlington passed away Thursday April 20, 2023 peacefully at his home after a long illness at the age of 63.
John graduated from Wilmington High School and Northeastern University. He worked for D. Boudreau Electric as a master electrician. His happiest days were spent with family and friends at his house in Maine at Lake Cobbossecontee. John was inducted into the Hall of Fame for wrestling at Wilmington High School, where he also excelled in baseball. John’s advocation and passion were rebuilding classic cars and constantly making upgrades and improvements to his home in Maine.
Cherished fiancé of Gayle Hart, Beloved son of Vera (DelGaizo) Milano loving brother of Debora Dawson and her husband, Jack, Maria Dolan and her husband, Kevin, his father John and his brother, Michael, preceded him in death. Devoted uncle to Kyle, Connor, Juliana, Samuel, Alyssa, Christina and Devin. Nephew of Donna Bumann and her husband, Francis, Marilyn Milano, and Anne Coviello and her husband Alexander as well as many loving cousins, extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather and share remembrances with the family April 29, 2023 from 9 - 11 AM in the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St., READING followed by a Funeral Service celebrating John’s Eternal Life at 11. Interment to follow at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
Donations may be made in John’s name to the American Cancer Society.
