MacDonald, John S. "Jack" – Of North Reading, July 23 Beloved husband of 53 years to Cecilia Berger. Father of Kat MacDonald and her spouse, Suzanne Abair, of Lexington; MaryAnn Veneziano and her husband, John, of North Reading; and Stephen MacDonald and his wife, Ashlie, of Raleigh, N.C. Predeceased by his brothers Thomas and David MacDonald. Grandfather of Madeline and Ryan Veneziano; Alex and Jacob MacDonald; and Anna and Jack MacDonald, his namesake. He is also survived by many close friends and family in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Prior to retiring, Jack was a small business administrator at Textron, Inc., in Stratford, Conn. He was a member of the Newtown Country Club in Connecticut and in recent years enjoyed many rounds of golf at Hillview Country Club. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, July 28, at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Theresa's Church, 63 Winter St. (Rte. 62), North Reading at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends may visit the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment Private.
