John F. Tormey

John F. Tormey of Reading passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Lahey Hitchcock Medical Center in Burlington. He was 95 years of age.
Born in Ireland, John was a longtime resident of Reading. He was the Foreman for the Town Board of Public Works. John was a devoted member of the Reading Knights of Columbus.
John was a well liked man. He was a warm and gentle son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all.
John was the beloved husband of the late Anna (Reilly) Tormey. He was the devoted father of John F. Tormey Jr. of Reading. John was the cherished grandfather of John "JD" Tormey and Brian Tormey, both of Salem, New Hampshire and Shayla Tormey of Connecticut. John was the loving great grandfather of Jacqueline Tormey.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Tuesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating John's life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Monday 3-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
