Jong M. Chang

Jong M. Chang of Stoneham passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. He is 89 years of age and was born in Gunsan, Korea.

Jong is a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be truly missed. Jong immigrated to the United States in the 1970s, and persevered through string of business failures to finally run a mildly successful dry cleaning business. He worked hard to support his family and to give his children the opportunity of higher education that he didn’t have in Korea. His children are deeply grateful of Jong’s sacrifice. In the past, he was an active elder member of the North Boston Korean United Methodist Church.

Jong is survived by his wife Susan, children Andy, Yung and Chung and grandchildren.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Jong’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 14 th at 12 PM at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street STONEHAM. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Jong’s Family prior to the Service from 10am – 12 PM. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
