Jose L. Rivera

Jose Luis Rivera II of Medford, Massachusetts, formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on December 5, 2016. He was 27 years of age.

Born on August 9, 1989 in Houston, Jose was the beloved son of Jose Rivera and Josefina Gutierrez. Jose was a warm, loyal, and loving son, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jose served in the Massachusetts National Guard, Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 182nd Infantry of Ayer, MA. Jose studied at Choate Rosemary Hall, Tufts University A13, and was the President of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. Jose enjoyed spontaneous world travel and will always inspire his countless loving friends.

Jose is survived by his father, Jose Rivera, his mother, Josefina Gutierrez, and his brother, George Rivera.

Friends and colleagues are invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Saturday, December 10th from 4-7pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (Rte 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
