Joseph A. Cloonan

Joseph A. Cloonan, of Reading and formerly of Lynn, passed away on Friday November 5, 2010 at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 88 years of age.
Born in Boston, Joseph was a resident of Reading for many years. He retired from GE River Works after 47 years. Joseph proudly served our Country in World War II as a Navy Air Corp Veteran. He was a proud son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Joseph was the beloved husband of K. Loretta Cloonan. He was the devoted father of
Michael and his wife Starr of Wilmington, Joseph and his wife Donna of
Reading, Barbara and her husband Nicholas Vetrano of Lynnfield, and
Donald and his wife Barbara of Woburn. Loving Grandfather of
Christine, Brian, Lisa, Emily, and Jill. Predeceased by six brothers and
sisters.
Funeral from the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden Street READING Tuesday at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Joseph's Life in Saint Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill Street Reading at 11:00 am
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Monday 4-7pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants will be available.
