Joseph L. Coughlin

Joseph L. Coughlin, of Reading, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Winchester Hospital. He was 88 years of age.

Born on September 7, 1928 in Medford, Joseph was the beloved husband for 65 years of Lorraine (Kerrigan) Coughlin. He was the father of Donna Feeley and her husband Tom, Robert Coughlin and Karen Coughlin and her fiancé Mark Millerick. The grandfather of Jason Coughlin and his wife Kelly, Jamie Shawky and her husband Karim, Joseph was the great grandfather of Joshua and Kailey Coughlin. He was the uncle of Susan Fitzer and her husband Jerry and William Zenga and his wife Ruth and the brother in law of John Kerrigan and his wife Elsie. A proud United States Army Veteran during World War II, Joseph was a loyal coach for Reading Little League for 22 years.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday, November 3rd at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Joseph's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Wednesday, November 2nd from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
