Deborah A (Keane) Taylor, and Joseph E Taylor of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Deborah was 79 and Joseph 80. Deborah was born in Boston on January 22nd, 1943 to John Keane and Margaret (Halligan). Joseph was also born in Boston on December 15th, 1941 to Edwin Taylor and Mary (Walczak).

Deborah graduated from Boston University in 1976 she obtained her degree while working full time. She was an exceptional caregiver to her parents, beloved aunts, and a large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews. Professionally, she was a homemaker and later a secretary at EMARC for many years. Deborah was also an avid painter and a voracious reader.

Joseph was a navy veteran, serving in the 1960s and later a machinist at General Electric for over 30 years. He was an avid sports fan, in particular the Boston Red Sox. A devoted father, he also loved Elivs and teaching his children and nieces and nephews how to fish. Joseph had a creative side as well, hand turning chess sets for each of his children.

Deborah and Joseph met on March 14th, 1970, and were engaged 5 years later. They were married for 46 years. During their time together, they were active members of St. Patrick's Parish, involving their children in the rich religious community.

Each of them was a fan of word puzzles and games. Deborah was adept at completing crossword puzzles and Joseph had an affinity for cryptoquotes. Throughout their long term relationship they rarely agreed on anything, except the importance of their family and deciding that March 31st 2022 was the proper day to pass.

Devoted parents of Michael J Taylor and his wife Karyn, Mary E Taylor, Christopher J Taylor Arrington and his husband Jimmy, Matthew J Taylor and his wife Jennifer. Cherished grandparents of Olivia A Guernsey and Kian R Taylor. Deborah is the dear sister of Dr. William Keane and his wife Louise, and the late Dr. John Keane and his wife Marilyn. Joseph is the dear brother of Caroline McManus and her husband Robert, and Edwin Taylor and his wife Cathleen.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating their Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery - Bourne at a later date.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 from 3:30 pm to 7 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
