Joseph "Raymond" Doucette of Reading passed away on Wednesday June 6, 2007 at his home. He was 77 years old.
Raymond was a life long resident of Reading. He loved using his hands and always created a master piece whether painting or woodworking. He also had a passion for music.
Raymond proudly served his Country as a member of the United States Army in World War II. An honorable Veteran he was, he also protected and served the community of Reading as a dedicated member of the Reading Police Department for 24 years.
Raymond was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all.
Raymond was the beloved husband of Doris (Arsenault) Doucette. He was the devoted father of Jane Batley and her husband Bryan of Reading, Michael Doucette and his wife Carrie of CA, Donna Nix and her late husband David of FL, Raymond Doucette of Reading, and Darlene Tripp and her husband Jay of Groveland. Loving grandfather of Brittany, Jason, Alex, Sarah, and Rachel.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Raymond's Life will be held in the Chapel of the Joseph Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING on Monday at 11am.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Sunday 2-6pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located off Linden St.
In lieu of flowers, donation in memory of Raymond may be made to Hospice Care, Inc. 100 Sylvan Rd. Woburn, MA 01801.
