Joseph F. Ryan of Reading passed away on Friday, June 24, 2005 at Harborside Health Care Center in Wakefield. He was 83 years of age.
Born in Malden, Joseph was a lifelong resident of Reading. He was a dedicated truck driver for the Town. He was devoted to his family. They were first and foremost in his life.
Joseph was a proud World War II United States Navy Veteran. He was a loyal member of the American Legion Post 62 and VFW Post 685.
Joseph was the beloved father of Jeanmarie Laskey of Reading, Kevin Ryan of North Andover, Mary Diefenbach of Peabody and Steven Ryan of South Carolina. He was the cherished grandfather of 8 and the great grandfather of 2. Joseph was the dear brother of Rose Bassler of Melrose.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Wednesday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Joseph's life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday 4-8pm. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
