Joseph Angelo Saccoccio of Stoneham, passed away on Tuesday December 11, 2007 after a brief illness at the Winchester Hospital. He was 70 years of age.
Born in Cambridge, Joseph was the loving son of the late Angelo J. Saccoccio and Aurora (Belvedere) Saccoccio. Joseph was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed.
Joseph was a dedicated mailman for MIT for many years. He also worked at the Deli in Star Market. He was a dedicated usher at St. Patrick Church in Stoneham. Joseph was a loyal member of the Moose Lodge # 1910 in Malden and the Warren Pals Club in Cambridge. Joseph was a huge New York Yankees fan. His true love was for his family. They were first and foremost in his life.
Joseph was the beloved husband of Domenica (Rotondo) Saccoccio. He was the loving father Joseph Saccoccio Jr. and his wife Tami of Arlington and Lisa DeMarco and her husband Richard of Wakefield. Joseph was the cherished brother of Caroline Guange and her husband Leonard of Malden. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Joseph's life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours on Friday from 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Internment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
