Josephine A. (Spracklin) Athridge

Josephine A. (Spracklin) Athridge of Reading formerly of Malden, passed away on April 8th at age 84.

Josephine is the beloved wife of the late Thomas Athridge. She is the devoted mother of Michael Athridge, Linda Langille and her husband Richard, Karen Graham and her partner Brian Garbino and the late Thomas Athridge and his surviving wife Nancy. Josephine is the cherished grandmother of Andrew Graham and his wife Rachelle, Marc Graham and his wife Wendee, Christopher Graham, Shane Athridge, Ryan Athridge, Jennifer Mozuch and her husband Scott, Erin Athridge and Patrick Athridge. She is the great-grandmother of eight. Josephine is the loving daughter of the late Augustus and Florence (Broadhurst) Spracklin. She is the dear sister of the late Wallace Spracklin, Florence Grant, Dorothy Murray, Evelyn Fitzpatrick and Phyllis Lang. Josephine is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Josephine is a member of Malden Senior Center, Malden Irish American Club, where she loved to play poker, Mellon Alumni Group, Red Hat Society, Ramblin Roses of Tewksbury, Rocking Rubies and Scarlet O'Hara's of Burlington.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday, April 14th at 10am followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating Josephine's Eternal Life in the First Congregational Church, 1 Church St. Stoneham at 11am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Wednesday, April 13th from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
