Josephine (Piazza) Carriglio

Giuseppa (Piazza) “Josephine” Carriglio of Stoneham passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 23, 2023 at her home.  She was 87 years of age.

Born on, January 12, 1936 in Augusta, Sicily, Italy, Josephine is the loving daughter of the late Ferdinando Piazza and Leonarda (Zodiaco) Piazza.  Josephine is a warm, kind & gentle daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Josephine is the beloved wife of the late Francesco Carriglio.  She is the devoted mother of Joseph Carriglio and his wife Maria, Millie Heinen and her husband Al, Leonarda Firmin and her husband Andrew and Fred Carriglio and his wife Diane.  The cherished grandmother of Francesco, Joseph & Victoria Carriglio, Liana & Matthew Heinen, Mikayla & Noah Firmin, Gabriella, Arianna & Nicolas Carriglio, Josephine is the dear sister of Francesco Piazza and his wife Alicia and Maria Grazia (Piazza) Roggio.  She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews & friends.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM on Thursday, June 29^th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Josephine’s Eternal Life in Saint Patrick Church, 71 Central Street Stoneham at 10am.  Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Josephine’s Family on Wednesday, June 28^th from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home.  Parking attendants and elevator are available.  Entombment Woodlawn Mausoleum, Everett.
