Josephine M. (Ficarra) Meisner of Stoneham passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Winchester Hospital. She was 88 years of age.
Josephine was born in Boston and raised in Everett. She adored her family and loved time spent with them. Josephine treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved traveling, taking many trips across the country and to Europe with her children. Josephine was a dedicated volunteer at Winchester Hospital and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved playing Scrabble, Checkers and Rummikub with family and friends.
Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Meisner. She was the devoted mother of Bill Meisner and his wife Laurie, John Meisner and his wife Paula, Carol Tammaro and her husband Kenneth, Richard Meisner and his wife Joanne and Steven Meisner and his wife Barbara. Josephine was the cherished grandmother of Bette, Laura, Jeff, David, Jaclyn, Kristen, Bryan, David, Julianne, Kevin, Allison, Amy and Andrew. The adoring great grandmother of 12, she was also the dear sister of the late Frances Minkle and Joseph Ficarra. Josephine was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Mass celebrating Josephine's Eternal Life on Thursday, October 31, 2013 in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
