Josephine M. Spinosa

Josephine Mary Spinosa of Stoneham passed away Saturday June 10, 2006 at the Winchester Hospital.





Born in Somerville, Josephine was the daughter of the late Augustino and Nunziata (Toscano) Spinosa. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.





Josephine was a home health at for the Somerville Health Center for many years. She was an extraordinary mother, grandmother. Her family was of utmost importance in her life. She loved to read and play bingo.





Josephine was the beloved wife of the late James F. Pitts and devoted mother of Terry Duggan of Stoneham, Billy Pitts and his wife Cathy of Stoneham, and Jimbo Pitts and his wife Joan of Billerica. She was the cherished grandmother of Nancy E. Kennedy of Florida, Billy Pitts Jr. of Florida, Amy Libby of Methuen, Jamie Pitts of Billerica, and Matthew J. Pitts of Stoneham and loving great grandmother of Kristyn T. Kennedy of Virginia and Christopher Kennedy of Florida. She was the dear sister of the late Rose Racioppi and Carl Spinosa and is survived by many nieces and nephews





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Josephine's life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
