Judith "Judi" (Jellison) Connors O'Donnell

Judith "Judi" (Jellison) Connors O'Donnell, formerly of Reading MA, Wells, ME and Fort Myers, FL died on August 15, 2016, peacefully, surrounded by family. Beloved wife of John "Jack" O'Donnell. Cherished mother of Bonnie Batt, Susan Este, JoAnne Hegarty, Christine House, John O'Donnell, JR, Therese Mathews, Gerard O'Donnell and Paul O'Donnell.
Daughter of the late Aloyse (Sheffield) and James Jellison. Dear sister of Jane (Jellison) Duggan and her husband Gerry Duggan and the late Joyce (Jellison) Geoffrion, and Jay Jellison. She is predeceased by her nephews Peter Geoffrion and Matthew Duggan and her great niece Dale Duggan.

Judi graduated from Reading High School in 1954, followed by Katharine Gibbs School in Boston, MA. Later, she continued her education while raising her four daughters and eventually retired from a professional career in computer engineering. She worked at Raytheon, Lexington, MA for many years, and later at the internet start-up, Open Market, Cambridge, MA. She is well regarded as having a keen intuition of what "trend" would turn into something significant, having identified computer programming as an up-and-coming career to pursue in 1979, and later identifying the internet as having immense potential in the computer field and in commerce. Her career spanned an age of major advances in computer technology, and she rose to every new challenge. But it is for her generous spirit, her kind and loving nature, her positivity, her beauty – both spiritually and physically, and her incredible intelligence and wisdom for which she will be most remembered by her admiring family and countless friends. Judi's favorite place in the world was Magnolia, her home in Wells, Maine, where she spent her time enjoying the company of the people she loved and the many who loved her.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Tuesday Aug. 23rd from 3-7pm in the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING. Parking attendants and ramped entrance available. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Judi's Eternal Life will be held in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading Wednesday Aug. 24th at 10:30am.
