Judith "Judy" C. (Anderson) LeBlanc of Reading, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 in Billerica.



Born in Boston, Judy was the loving daughter of the late Alice (Duffy) Anderson and Leo Anderson.



Judy graduated from Revere High School in 1957 and Fisher Junior College in 1959 with an Associates Degree.



Judy was the Founder of "Understanding Disabilities", an all volunteer, educational program regarding visible and invisible handicaps for over 25 years. She enjoyed traveling both domestic and foreign. Judy was very sociable and loved entertaining. She loved being with friends and family. Judy loved kids.



She enjoyed cooking and she was famous for her desserts She worked at many large national and international companies. Judy never wanted to miss anything. Despite her blindness, Judy was an independent traveler and would visit Boston.



Judy was the Beloved wife of Philip LeBlanc with whom she shared 35 years of marriage. She was the Loving daughter of the late Leo and Alice (Duffy) Anderson. Judy was the Dear sister of James Anderson and his wife Carol of Reading, John Anderson and his wife Ann of Ramona, CA, Robert Anderson and his wife Elaine of Jacksonville, FL, Peter and his wife Carol of East Falmouth, Jane Cronn and her husband John of McFarland, WI, Marylin Carlson and her husband William of Des Moines, IA and Janice Pierce and her husband Mike of Beverly. She is also survived by her Special Friend Danielle Brown, her guide dog JACK and many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.



Funeral from the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Monday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Judith's life in St. Athansius Church, 300 Haverhill Rd., Reading at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Sunday from 1-6 pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment Charles Lawn Memorial Park, Reading.



At the request of the family please omit flowers and honor Judy by making donations in memory of her to Guide Dog Foundation f/t Blind, Inc. 371 East Jericho Turnpike, Smithtown, NY 11787-2976.
